Meet The Storyteller

Mythical Land began the way many of the best stories do — with imagination, a little silliness, and stories told out loud. Created by author Joanne Hutchinson, Mythical Land is a growing world of curious creatures, unexpected adventures and characters who are rarely quite what they first appear to be.

Joanne began writing stories inspired by the things around her, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary adventures. Her stories combine humour, rhyme and imagination with something quieter underneath — kindness, courage, friendship and the idea that being a little different can be rather wonderful.

Her original illustrated books introduced readers to characters including Og, Hagwitch and Hettie, with the stories featured on radio and praised by presenters, reviewers and families.

Today, Mythical Land is growing into something much bigger. New stories, characters and places are waiting to be discovered, alongside activities, games and experiences designed to let children explore the world beyond the final page.

Because in Mythical Land, the end of a story is rarely the end of the adventure.
